Laurent Gandini lives and works in Milan, where he started his own business in 1990. He could be defined as an “anti-designer” who draws the distinctive signs of his collections from the popular tradition anchored to a typically Italian context of rural and peasant life. A world rich in narration and symbolism, which has now disappeared within a few generations, but capable of evoking new forms and figures, thanks to the inexhaustible richness of its repertoire.
